The Worthington Economic Development Authority approved a matching grant of $6,480 for downtown business Seed & Stem. This information was incorrect in a June 11 article on the City Council meeting.

Paula Behrens spoke as a representative of the 22 homeowners of the Homestead Cooperative, who had requested a valuation change at their city council meeting. The information was incorrect in a story about property values rising in the June 22 edition of the Globe.

8:10 p.m. Friday: 1300 block of Apel Avenue, Worthington, female not responding.

8:32 p.m. Friday: 1700 block of Viking Road, Worthington, female has fallen.

9:30 a.m. Sunday: 300 block of Lake Street, Worthington, ambulance requested.

6:05 p.m. Sunday: 700 block of West Shore Drive, Worthington, ambulance request for juvenile female.

10:39 p.m. Sunday: Maka-Oicu Park, Fulda, ambulance requested.

11:06 a.m. Monday: 17000 block of 230th Street, Adrian, ambulance requested.

Osceola County Sheriff’s Office: tractor-vehicle collision, no injuries, Friday, State Highway 9. Justin Clay Wagenaar, age 32, of Sibley, IA was driving a 1976 International 1466 tractor with a disc mower attached. Gavin Alan DeHoogh, age 17, of Sheldon, IA was driving a 2008 Dodge Ram 1500 eastbound on Hwy 9 east of Starling Ave. DeHoogh rear-ended the tractor. The collision caused disabling damage to the front of the Ram approximately in the amount of $10,000. The disc mower received approximately $8,000 in damage. No injuries were reported. DeHoogh was issued a citation for Following too Close. Ocheyedan Fire assisted at the scene.

Lyon County (Iowa) Sheriff’s Office: single-vehicle crash, Friday, U.S. 75 and 180th Street. Brandon Bennett, 23, of Sioux City, Iowa, was driving north on U.S. 72 when he failed to negotiate a turn onto 180th Street and slid on gravel into the northeast ditch. Damage to his 2014 Nissan Rogue is estimated at $10,000.

WPD: hit and run, 6:01 p.m. Friday, 700 block of N Crailsheim Drive.

Lyon County (Iowa) Sheriff’s Office: crash with injuries, Saturday, 2100 block of Elmwood, rural Alvord. A 16-year-old male was driving down a hill on private property when he lost control of the side-by-side, resulting in the vehicle rolling. Four occupants, including the driver, were in the vehicle, and one, Amanda Neyens of Sioux Falls, South Dakota, was fully ejected from the vehicle. The side-by-side landed on Neyens, causing her substantial injuries; she was transported to Rock Valley Hospital. The other passengers were uninjured. Alvord Fire and Rescue and Lyon County Ambulance assisted at the scene.
